How we collect, use, and protect your restaurant's data — in plain language.

01Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information MenuCliQ collects when you use our web dashboard, customer QR menu, and desktop application, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain and short.

In one line: we collect only what's needed to run your restaurant's ordering and management, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it.

02What we collect

Depending on how you use MenuCliQ, we may collect:

  • Account data — restaurant name, owner/staff names, email, phone, login credentials.
  • Operational data — menu items, orders, tables, reservations, bills, and reports you create.
  • Customer data — order details and, where provided, a diner's name or contact for order status.
  • Device & usage data — app version, device identifier, IP address, and basic usage logs to keep the service reliable and secure.

03How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the ordering, printing, and reporting features.
  • Sync your data across the web dashboard and desktop app.
  • Deliver software updates and security fixes.
  • Provide support and respond to your requests.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or abuse.

04How we share it

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that host or process data on our behalf (e.g. cloud hosting, payment processors), under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal authorities where required by applicable law.
Advertising is never allowed inside MenuCliQ, and we don't share your data with advertisers.

05Storage & security

Data is stored on secured servers. The desktop app also keeps a local, offline copy on your device so you can keep working during internet or power outages; this local data stays on your machine. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, though no method is 100% secure.

06Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

07Your rights

You may request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@menucliq.com from your registered address and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

08Children

MenuCliQ is a business tool intended for restaurant operators and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

09Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
